Clearly, people who spend 30 grand on an electric motorcycle, they're gonna want a little more performance for their buck. And someone plunking down a chunk of their 401K on a street glide. Right. Well, I recently lived with the live wire for a week, and while it's not light your hair on fire fast, it's no slouch. Like all EBS, the acceleration is relentless. And while the numbers that the bike puts out 105 horsepower and 86 pound feet to be specific, aren't gonna shake the pillars of heaven compared to say, the Ducati Street Fighter before which is slightly cheaper too. I really felt like I was wanting more jam around town. Okay, but is all of that enough to make that massive cash outlay worth it? I'd say yeah, mostly, but Harley has had a harder time convincing folks of that because it's still not moving its electric halo motorcycle, in the kinda numbers that it likely hoped for. Still, the Live Wire is a hell of a statement from a company not really known for making big, flashy techie statements. And that's pretty damn cool. But what is most exciting to me is the possibility of more affordable trickle down models from Harley in the future. That's it for this episode of virtuous autocomplete.
